First of all, let me introduce myself. My name is Taylor Jackson, and I’ve been shooting professionally for seven years. When I’m not catching the lives of others through my lens, I’m living life with my husband, Scot, and our sweet children, Vera and Ike. If you’ve clicked this page, you might have a few questions about my process and what to expect if you are planning on booking a session or have already booked a session with Barefeet.
When you book your session with Barefeet, you will be required to send a deposit as well as sign our contract. This protects both parties and lets me know to definitely hold the date for your session. With all sessions, I am the photographer who will be shooting your portraits! What you see on the blog is my work. For weddings, I occasionally post work of my second shooter as well. As your session draws near, I will contact you by email or phone to make sure we are on the same page as far as where and when to meet. If you have questions about styling for your session, I am MORE than willing to help! As you are choosing colors and outfits for your family, try to think about colors and textures that would look cohesive displayed on the walls in your home.
After your photo session, I will work to edit and perfect the images I’ve captured. This is a process that takes two to four weeks, depending on the time of year. I might post a blog or a sneak peak of your pictures while you are waiting to view your stunning images. Within a few days, I’ll contact you to let you know how the process is going and to schedule an in-home viewing session at your convenience.* Something that is very important to me is creating quality work and giving you, as the client, the best experience possible! I am committed to helping choose the most beautiful images to display in your family’s home, and will work with you to come up with some wonderful display options during the in-home session.
Once you have placed your order, I will mail your jump drive (if that comes with your package) and begin processing your order. Depending on what you order, your products should arrive at your home within three weeks of placing the order. Framed prints, custom designs and albums can take up to four weeks. What should we bring/wear to our session?
For a family shoot, choose a common color theme and branch off from that. I love bright colors! If you want to go neutral, variations on colors found in nature are always beautiful. For engagement sessions or senior portraits, bring around three outfits. Don’t be afraid to MIX IT UP! Wear items that reflect your story and personality. Anything is better than basic black.
Where do I order prints?
We provide an in-home viewing session where you can make your initial order. You can also order additional professional prints from us at this website in the client login area once the pictures are uploaded. A print guide is available upon request.
About how many images will I receive?
Portrait sessions : 100-200 images
What days are you available to shoot?
We are available most weekdays and weekends. Please check the calendar on the website to see when we are open.
What are your payment methods?
We accept cash, checks, paypal and credit/debit cards. (Credit cards not accepted on amounts over $1000.)
Can I see a detailed pricing guide?
Sure. Send us an email and we will send you an information package.
Do you travel?
We definitely travel, but the traveling fees need to be covered (gas, hotel, etc). Typically, there is no traveling cost if your session is within the Dallas/Ft Worth metroplex. If you are concerned about the distance, please give us a call.
