I’m a mother of three, as well as a professional photographer with nine years of experience. For the last five years, I’ve also been teaching mommies just like you how to put their cameras to work to visually preserve and share their families’ stories! Believe me, when you first get a nice camera, all the technological mumbo-jumbo of operating that camera can be overwhelming. Perhaps your “vision” doesn’t ever seem to pan out in your images. What about blurry pictures or poor lighting? Rest assured, these are all common problems experienced by amateurs who are beginning to get to know their cameras.

Would you like to know some of the tricks that I use to capture my own family at home? Lauren Tarpley, one of my good friends, will be collaborating with Barefeet to host a workshop in Lauren’s home in Plano for moms who want to gain a better knowledge of how to use their cameras. The workshop will be taking place on November 5, 2016, from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm. You’ll be blessed as we share our experiences as moms of littles in an intimate format. There are only 20 spots, so you’ll have to sign up quickly to save your spot! The investment is $275 for early sign up (before May 31). You’ll also receive a paperback copy of my recent book, “A Mommy’s Guide to Taking Better Pictures.” To sign up, click here! Remember, registration is limited, and these spots won’t last long! Hope to see you there!!

I’ll also be posting occasional “how-tos” in relation to your camera on the blog, so make sure to check back often. Another option is to purchase the book from the store section of the website. It’s an easy read, and great for Moms who would just like to take better pictures of their children. There’s also another option, if you’re interested in booking a one-on-one session with me (a mini photography workshop). We can come up with a date that is convenient for you. We’ll chat a bit, shoot a bit, and eat and laugh a lot! Contact me for more information on the many photography workshop opportunities!
